Thanks professor for explaining us the principless of russian lexical stress. But what does it means in real life? Lexical stress in russian often creates omographs - 2 completely different meanings, 2 pronunciations but the same spelling.

I'll provide some examples

замОк [zamok] lock

парОм [parom] ferryboat
пАром [parom] by vapour

атлАс [atlas] satin

жилА [zhila] lived
